Who says that marijuana edibles cannot be healthy?

While it is true that the stereotyped of munchies coming in the form of cookies, sweets, and chips, the changing face of cannabis means that all stoner-based expectations are due for a rebrand. Let’s face it, many people want to consume edibles, but they are doing so because they know that cannabis can be healthy when consumed responsibly.

Also, there is the practical element to consuming cannabis via edibles. If all edibles come in the form of brownies or cookies, those who are consuming regularly for medical purposes are going to have to worry about expanding waistlines as a side-effect.

We think that it’s about time the world of edibles explored different cuisines, and that’s why we love this recipe for cannabis vinaigrette. The recipe comes from The Cannabis Kitchen Cookbook: Feel-Good Food for Home Cooks. If you are interested in the healthier side of edibles and cannabis consumption, then this cookbook is a must-have addition to you bookshelf.

The author, Robyn Griggs Lawrence is a lifestyle journalist based in Colorado and is also a strong advocate of making marijuana legal. That’s an issue close to our hearts here at Bud and Breakfast too, so we’re proud to support.

This dressing is best served over crisp and fresh salad greens. Remember that you can get really creative with salads—add in slicked fruits such as mango or pineapple. Add some sprinkles of blue cheese and crispy bacon crumbles for additional flavor and texture.

That couldn’t be easier! Now all you need to do is decide where in the world you want to go so that you can sit outside in the sun and enjoy that healthy cannabis-infused salad. You can find some wonderful cannabis-friendly accommodations listed in Bud and Breakfast.
